A woodturning tune - on Radio 3
« on: April 11, 2023, 07:27:03 PM »
I was listening to BBC R3 this morning, just before 8, and they played this, tucked in between Haitink conducting Bruckner and the 8 o'clock news:

The Wood Turner.  Composed by Neil Martin
West Ocean String Quartet.

If you have BBC sounds, find the Petroc Trelawney show from 11 April, go to 1h 26m in and there is is, a jolly woodturning kind of thing.

Not often you get a woodturning mention on R3, or R anything for that matter.

Any other woodturning themed music out there?  Or serious literature?  "Miss Elizabeth Bennett was in awe of the pole turner on the neighbouring estate and dreamed that one day they would make chair spindles together....."
