Bandsaw Blades
« on: March 10, 2023, 07:36:14 PM »
I need a couple of new blades for my RP 300E.
Axminster have a poor selection at the moment and are not very competitive on price.
Tuffsaws are away until 20 March.
Bedford Saw want £7.99 postage.

Any other options?

How about http://beverstocksaws.com/ they are at the Midlands show this weekend. They are free shipping if you spend more than £50 and I find their blades excellent.

Thanks I’ll have a look next time.  ;) I’ve just ordered a blade from Biven to see what the quality and service is like.

Quality and service is fine. I bought a 3/8” 4 TPI Skip tooth blade and on first use it’s the smoothest cut I’ve ever had on my RP BS300E. The blade is made by Hakansson. I will be buying some more of these as needed.  ;)

I have always found Beaverstock very good, they are only a few hundred yards up the road from me so very handy.
The best ones that I have used are from Ian at Tuffsaws they are a little more expensive but so much better and have so many different types of blade depending on what you want to do with them. They are only a few miles from me also so very handy.

I’ve used Tuffsaws before but Ian is away at present. I’ve also used Axminster blades but this new Hakansson is better than anything else I’ve tried so far.

Hakansson - not a name I've heard of. Where did you get them from?
