Just been notified today by Beaufort Ink that the Versachuck (chuck body) is back in stock at last.

I’m going to buy one of these soon, hopefully a good quality product. It will certainly be handy having the ability to swap the jaws over so you can use a variety of different makes of accessory jaws. I’ll likely only need Axminster and Record/Sorby Jaws though.

Just had delivery of one with SuperNova2 compatible jaw-slides.  No problem with those but the cap head bolts securing the chuck body to the Nova DVR compatible backplate were 5mm over length. Quick phone call to Beaufort Ink and received correct replacements the next day.
Apart from that slight hiccup, very pleased with purchase, working as designed.

There have been one or two occasions when it would have been handy to turn some wood on my metal turning lathe. Whilst most WT chucks mount via a thread, my MW lathe has a flange with three bolt holes. I’ve now sourced a Versachuck backplate from BI and machined it to fit my MW lathe.
