Ash bowl

I was making a short video for youtube today in order to answer a few queries which were raised on youtube and the blog. Although the  bowl was only turned to illustrate the video I think it turned out quite nicely...

same ash as the previous vase, spirit stains, oil and wax, 12" diameter(ish)...

the natural coloured round base

Good explanation of the spigot to fit the chuck correctly.

The colouring brings out the furthering on the ash, this is where colouring works well.

Hi Andy,
what a wonderful grain. I don't like coloring of wood, but this color is very woodlike and a nice
shape.
Well done Andy.
