Thanks for that, it’s nice to know what others use. Many of the belts Axminster and Sorby sell are either 60g for reprofiling or 120g for sharpening. I have bought one of those 800g film belts but not tried it yet. Most of my use will be for turning tools but I do use carving tools from time to time and I may try sharpening some knives as well.
