A fresh start
« on: August 24, 2021, 07:03:08 PM »
We are reopening the Bury St Edmunds Woodturning Club this Friday! After 16 months without ameetin and six months trying to find a venue, we are finally ready. Your guess is as good as mine on how many turn up!

I think you might be pleasantly surprised.  Herts & Beds Woodturners had 55 participants (out of a total membership of about 90) for our first meeting on the 10th August.

Ron,

we re-opened last Wednesday and got about 50% of our membership in, say about 35 members. Most of them probably only came for the club shop. Who cares? they came anyway.

I must pop over to see you when I am next in Suffolk, ironically next visit is this Saturday so will have to wait until your next meeting.

We met Friday, new venue, new start. Quiet evening, the highlight was the raffle! 2/3 normal attendance. Looks ok for the future.
