Cheam Woodturners plan to re-open
« on: June 21, 2021, 12:53:14 PM »
Some good news from our Club Chairman:

It is now our intention to meet up on the 18th of August at the Elmcroft Centre for a club night, hopefully with the club shop open, a raffle, lots of items on the show and tell table and a presentation or demonstration subject to the Government lifting restrictions.

Assuming we are able, we will hold our delayed AGM at Elmcroft on the 15th September 2021 when our main priority will be to elect further members to our committee so that the club can continue in the way it did before Covid.

We gathered together in person last night for the first time since lockdown. Over 50% of members attended - our shop  was busy!. Masks were compulsory, hand sanitiser everywhere and windows/doors were open to give a good airflow. Seating was socially distanced.

Not bad for the first night, and hope we can continue with these kind of numbers attending for later meetings. Pictures will be on our Facebook page shortly.

Only issue is that our club night clashes with other online clubs that our members have joined.
