The 3520B is the predecessor to Axminster Tools Powermatic 3520C, its top of the range woodturning lathe.
The Jet 3520B lathe is made almost entirely of cast iron with each part precision machined and ground to ensure smooth trouble-free movement. The headstock, tailstock and tool-rest banjo all have positive cam action locks with handles. The headstock can slide up and down the entire length of the bed, which allows the turning of very large diameter work at the tailstock end of the lathe. There is provision for a bed extension with a choice of two positions.
The 3520B features electronic variable speed with low and high speed ranges driven via a 2-step, multi-groove poly-V belt for full power transmission. The control box houses the on/off buttons, speed control knob, forward/ reverse switch and digital display of rpm. There is also a magnetic cut off switch that can be positioned where ever convenient.
The tailstock quill has a laser-etched scale in metric and imperial. The quill is self-ejecting, and a 6tpi Acme thread makes movement fast and smooth. The 3520B comes with comparator centers for copy work with cast iron brackets, which fit onto the headstock and tailstock castings. . Other standard equipment large and small tool rest.
