Silver threepenny piece boxes
« on: December 24, 2020, 02:10:14 PM »
Just for seasonal interest - I did put a note about these up in 2014 but I just had a pic from a user who uses them each year. I made 10 of these small boxes with magnetic closures for holding sets of 8 or so silver threepenny pieces (from 1920 or earlier back to Victorian).  The coins are fairly inexpensive in sets on eBay and are of course the traditional thing to put in Christmas puddings (but be careful not to eat - probably envelopes are a good idea!). Pyro by my daughter as usual.

What a clever and well thought out idea.
