you need to five someone with a Wadkin RU.

some professional outfits have them or very occasionally they are available on ebay and you can get one for only a few grand.

couple of facebook turning groups might know of someone who can help.

Where are you? There are  a couple of pro turners who might have the facilities

Alternatively you could saw the blanks into more manageable lengths and join them together. I assume that the glue up leaves the required hollow in the blank, would take quite a tool to hollow out a 3m deep column! but if there is enough space for a series of box style mortice / tenon joints then this could be done on a more available lathe.
TT, AKA Pete, but that name is taken :-)

I’m sure I’ve seen something like your project done before and it wasn’t done on a lathe. The workpiece was rotated  (slowly, by hand) but the wood was removed with a router mounted above the workpiece on rails like scaffold poles. As you want the wood tapered this would probably be easier and more consistent than using a regular lathe anyway. Once you set the angle of the jig they’ll all end up the same. Just a thought.

Try Les Thorn, I am sure I have seen pictures of him turning pieces this size.

Cheers Martin.
