Charnwood 1624 lathe

Hi has anyone used or have a charnwood 1624 lathe, if so, whats your thoughts as I'm looking at purchasing one thanks in advance

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Likewise, I have no experience of this machine but I notice they give a 1-Year warranty, as against the 3-Years offered by Axminister on their Trade series lathes and the 5-Years offered by Record Power. Both AX and RP have similarly powered/priced lathes.

I think you will find the 5 year bit is on everything except the electrics , I would ask the question before ordering

 I have never owned A Charnwood Lathe or any of their tools a follow Woodturner and a friend had a very bad experience with some of their equipment but I agree Axminster would be my choice after sales service is great and 3 year Warranty
