Failed bowl blank repurposed.
« on: September 02, 2020, 12:23:28 AM »
Not posted in ages, but I quite like this one 11" x 4½" from stock that I dried in the kiln, got this one out to turn a thin wall, but a crack in the wall and a bark inclusion meant that it was unsuitable, but it still made a very nice standard bowl.
TT, AKA Pete, but that name is taken :-)

Sometimes a simple bowl is all that is needed. Like the gold inlay to fill the cracks as well as the knot adding something of interest in the bowl even though it will be hidden once it fills up (Yes any bowl I put out for the house seems to get filled)

Thanks Derek, I forgot to add C&C welcome, but the finish was pretty poor so it was probably just as well :-)
