Walnut and Chestnut burr box

5½" by 3¼" Walnut and Chestnut burr finished with Hampshire sheen original.

Unfortunatly the photos do not show the depth of the box very well, but the balance of colours of the woods used do sit well together.

I like the strong contrast between the two timbers and the overall form. I wonder how it would have looked with a sharp corner between the top edge of the wall and the lid - I feel that the large radius that you've got loses a bit of definition of the form.
