Chucks for ID
« on: April 14, 2020, 01:33:08 PM »
Another thread re: jaws that I don't have a chuck for. There are two sets, all complete and wiith what might be axminster. I use nova chucks so don't really know much about these. If anyone can cast any light on them and what chuck they might fit I'd be grateful. The one pair has had extensions bolted on which are apparently perfectly round on the outside diameter. Knwing the person they came from they are probably very acurate. The jaws are numbered but no names on any.

Yep 99% certain they are Axminster Top ones look like the ones I am looking to buy at the moment, for screwing plywood to and making your own jaws, though I am looking at 100mm and 150mm those look much smaller. Others are are probably C type dovetail jaws.

Stick a price on them and I may be interested, I need to make some custom wooden jaws for one of the ideas fermenting in the dusty corners of my mind, but shape is still a thought in progress at the moment so I haven't a clue on size that I actually need yet....

TT, AKA Pete, but that name is taken :-)
