They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and having been so impressed with @icewoodturning's ripples posted on here, I thought I would try my own version. As is typical, my version wasn't made with any plan, and just with some offcuts from the wood pile outside the workshop, but I was pleased with the results. Made of ebonised oak, and limed oak, with a lid made out of a scrap of satinwood (I think) and a splash of acrylic paint.
