Yew Hollow Form
« on: September 06, 2019, 07:07:31 PM »
A Yew hollow form with a twisted Sycamore finial 35x20cm, not certain that twisted is the best description for the finial and open to offers for a better one!

Mostly like this but not sure about the finial, seems a little too tall to me? OK personal taste perhaps. Apart from that looks pretty good. Maybe convoluted instead of twisted ?

Looks well turned and finished.
I think the Finial could have been a bit more delicate I mean thinner and i like to see the base tucked in on Hollow forms it gives them a lighter look and a bit of lift

Thanks for the comments, the finial is 90mm tall and on reflection I agree it should have been thinner, mental note for the next one.
