Just a fun item on using glued-up pine cones for small objects FYI!

I'm not a resin user but this seems to give some interesting effects The red pen is particularly attractive.

Try slow setting epoxy resin which IMHO is better than polyester resin. Adheres to the encapsulated material better, is kinder to turn and the slow setting lets it into all the nooks and crannies and gives time for any air bubbles to rise and disappear.
