After reading Mark Sangers great article this month in woodturning magazine I decided to have a go at his project I was pretty faithful to his original with regards to size etc but I did the texturing a bit different

Pretty good attempt. Difficult to see closely enough to pick holes in it LOL. Looks good though.

As soon as I saw this Mark Sanger came to mind. Looks like you did a good job on this one Andy. I for one enjoy Mark's work as I do of many on here

Mark will be doing an all day Demo at Crow Valley Woodturners on 20th October and Mid Wales on Sunday 21st October if anybody wishes to come along. It should be a really good day out.

It's always good to see these sort of pieces. The contributors to Woodturning magazine offer up their work for us to learn from (and yes) copy or interpret, but so few people post their versions for us all to see.

Thank you for posting and well done on your interpretation, it is a good version and one to be proud of.
