Sad news
« on: March 20, 2018, 08:02:58 PM »
Dear All,
it is with great sadness that I report the sudden death of our dear friend Linda Mortimer, the wife of Stuart Mortimer. Her funeral, primarily for the family, will be held in the Howe Trinity Parish Church, Alford, Aberdeenshire at 13.30 on Tuesday 27 March.
There will also be a memorial service which will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Amport, Hampshire at 11.00 on Tuesday 24 April 2018.

Linda and Stuart opened their home to turners from all over the world but also to the young turners that took part in the AWGB Youth Training scheme and it was Linda that made sure everyone was well looked after during these events. Her passing will be mourned by many turners the world over as she touched the lives of so many of us.

I have had a request that all those that will be attending Linda's memorial service to please let the Turner's company clerk or Becca know or get in touch with Sam Webber. Alternatively you can send me a personal message and I will pass it on for you.
Many thanks

Sorry forgot to say that this is so that we have an idea of numbers for the catering.
