Riverbank
« on: March 31, 2018, 10:35:45 AM »
Latest collaboration. Mo put it up on Facebook last night prior to polishing and two people want it. (Now sold) Supposed to be stock for Wisley in May but looks like we'll have to do some more.

It is holly and stands approx. 6 1/2" (165mm) tall. Pyro'd and coloured with a mix of indian ink and acrylics. Finished with microcrystalline polish.  C&C welcome as always.

Oh these are wonderful Congratulations to you both I am not surprised these are wanted they might have been stock for Wisley but you can only sell them once so if you get the price you want go for it.

Your collaboration with Mo goes from strength to strength and this piece is right up there with the best that we see. It's great that a piece sells so quickly, but a little sad that you don't get to keep it on your stand at Wisley to "Wow" the punters.
Well done Pete, and well done Mo.

Surprised at only 2 people wanting it. It looks stunning.

Mo has always had a place in your work, I remember her arranging the flowers in your vases to best advantage when you did a demo for us, and all the photos you've posted.

Now she has certainly has found a new place in your work, her decoration is wonderful.

Well done Mo.

Thank you all. Mo used some of Jo Sonya's irridescent paints for the dragon fly and the kingfisher to give it that extra boost. Apparently kingfishers feathers aren't that colour individually. The colour is created through some technically complex way of reflecting the light. That is why it is so bright and so the need for the irridescent paints.

You all wanted to know that didn't you LOL.

Thank you Les. If the turning isn't up to scratch it gets sent back LOL.
