Sometimes you need to go through your offcuts just in case   Found this little piece with some fiddle back. 

I needed a diversion from a couple of lengthy projects that have kept me busy and away from many other things.

Redgum 5" or 12.5cm high with a girth of 4" or 10cm Antique Oil and buffed, plus some sanding

Every time I see one of these that you do I wonder how long it takes to get the spiralling done to the level of finish you achieve. A great 'diversion'

Actually Pete, this is rather small and the Redgum easy to work with, plus I have done a few of these
So this one would have taken me around 10-12 hours all up, sometimes the actual layout can be as lengthy as the turning.

Well you never know they do get around. As to feel etc, your right if a would-be buyer can be encouraged to pick it up and hold for a while it really increases the likelihood of a sale.
