A large 20" fruit bowl made from sycamore
« on: January 14, 2018, 06:15:58 PM »
I had a large lump of sycamore laying about and it kept saying to me, turn me into something big so I put it on the lathe and this is the end result'
Its 20" across and 2 and 3/4" tall sanded to 320 grit and it has had one coat of food safe put on to it so far, your comments are more than welcome. Les

Thank you Derek, admittedly I never thought about the amount of fruit that it will take to fill it  ::) time to make a few smaller ones I think or turn a lot of apples and pairs to put in it. Les

A good bowl in nice wood Les.
Your title restricts imagination
Lots of other things go in big bowls other than fruit and it looks good on that table. Just fill it with stuff!
kind regards
