Amphora Mixed
« on: January 01, 2018, 01:24:52 PM »

                                                  Amphora Mixed Media
                                            Or Treasure From The Deep

Its not finished yet but aiming for a themed piece ...... not done one in a while..... The Amphora has been aged with
metal reactive coatings ( paint ) in bronze ... brass... iron and verdigris...rust and sapphire patinas.....For a better word
the base ? is powertex  very similar if not the same  to paverpol ..... unsure yet which way to go as far as colouring
the rope .... net ... sand.
  As Always Comments Are Welcome
  Kind Regards Tony & Di

Happy New Year George..... Happy New Year Les.   And A Happy New Year To Each And All.

George  With the texture on the Amphora I was aiming for how a bronze Minoan amphora might look like after years under
the sea and how things and texture might change.
Looking Forward To Catching Up Sometime in April.

Les   Its been a while since we have had the time to concentrate on a themed piece..... not there yet the rope might
turn into metal cable.... age problem though ;D

   Kind Regards .... Tony Di

Happy New Year Di & Tony

Great to see another of your piece's. I love it!!!

To me the mounting as either got to be looking as if it was also brought up with the pot, which I feel would take something away from the pot. Or a complete contrast like white or gold.

Looking forward to seeing the finished piece.

All the best

Ed

                                   Happy New Year Ed
Agree and that's the dilemma at the moment .... Leave it as if it was just brought up and aged... or clean it up and
make the support brighter ... As with most of this type of piece it will probably change colour a few times before
its finished... Decisions  Decisions   ;D ;D
   Kind Regards

This is going to be a nice piece and as I said elsewhere some old weathered rope from a boat yard would go down nicely
