I have been using a Myford Maestro lathe for many years but recently it has developed an electrical fault. the lathe will stop/start at random, doing this once, twice or more times, then work normally before the problem starts again. This can occur whether a cut is being made or not. It has been suggested that it is caused by dust getting into the electrics. However,I have had it stripped down and electrically checked against Myford circuitry. I am at a loss to know what is the cause and the remedy to overcome. Clearly it must be a dodgy electrical component but which one?.
