Ikea Glimma tealight holders
« on: September 21, 2017, 10:18:59 AM »
Now that Ikea have discontinued sale of these, does anybody have a reliable source for them or a similar tealight holder? I've only got a few left, and a quick google search didn't really show any sources.

It does look like they are still available from some manufacturers, but they would need a large(ish) order. If there's enough interest, I'd be happy to be the central point.

You can still buy them. Usually in batches of about 72 for round about £30 + so less than 50p each. Not as cheap as the Ikea ones were but still worth lookng at.

Didn't see any of that in my google search results. Would you be kind enough to share your source?

I found them in a garden centre, well garden and retail centre, not branded as Glima but otherwise the same, including the plastic tube.

Bought all they had, but it was a garden chain shop, if I remember the name I'll post it.

My daughter got me some in Wilco £1.5 for 3. They were slightly curved at the side but look very nice.

T lights do come in varied sizes and the cheaper ones from the stores like Wilko can vary in the pack.

I've now bought 12 dozen of these from the source Pete posted earlier. They are good tealights, but slightly different dimensions to the GLIMMA type from Ikea. For starters, they are slightly wider and slightly taller, and in addition they don't have a separate foot. So don't expect them to be a drop-in replacement.
Makes no difference to me, though.
