Right up my street, love the wood, the filling and the finish. Not totally taken with the shape but personal taste only.

Happy to follow Pete's words on this. Whilst the curve of the form flows nicely, it's a bit slender at the base for my liking, but otherwise a very nice piece of work.;

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Very nice; I particularly like the two-tone appearance, with the two sides being treated differently. Two for the price of one!

Hi Andy

I'm going against the flow of comments here, with such a stunning piece of wood I would have not use the brass powder I think that it detracts from the wood. (I think that a bit rich coming from me with what I do to wood  ;D) but with the two tones of colour in the wood I think that was enough. But like Pete said it's personal taste.

I like the form and finish  :)

All the best

Ed

 Andy  The contrast in the wood is spectacular .. the shape seems to suit it well ,  got to agree with Ed though
 not keen on the brass infill, would have preferred a dark wood filler.... other wise a really nice piece to view
  Kind Regards Tony di

Oh now I lie this. Not because of the burr or the brass inlay in themselves are great, but for perfection of the form. For me the form here is what makes the piece sing, the extra burr and inlay add to this, but it is the purity of the form, just like the foundations of a building that makes it stand up tall. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Ed glad you like it mate, I did think twice about filling the voids, but as I had never done it before I thought I would give it a bash and see how it looks
