Another fine piece of timber. An interesting choice of shape for the underside.....does it rock nicely?

hi Andy....I must be mis-reading the second photo.....I couldn't make out the shape of a foot and thought that it was a rocking-bowl.

It looks very nice Andy but as Les I find the base/foot a bit confusing is it a flat base or a foot.

Thank you Andy personnaly I like to see a shallow foot it makes the piece stand up and creates a nice shaddow under it.

I must admit I was thinking the same as everyone else regard to the base. But from what you have said I also have done the same having just a flat area and must agree with George about having a small foot to lift the piece.
All that aside the top looks great

You have certainly captured  the old well worn look Andy .... Every thing about this piece looks right.

  Kind Regards Tony di

Ps..... You did get a lot of help from the lovely piece of wood though :) :) :)

Thanks for the comments Derek, with regards to the foot or lack of it, I didn't think it would make much difference as this is being kept vertical on the stand
