JET MACHINERY PRICES
« on: October 01, 2017, 11:51:56 PM »
Hi.
I've been looking at upgrading my bandsaw and I see that  in some stores some of the JET bandsaws now have big reductions (500 pounds) on them.
Does anyone know if  there is some reason for this th16at might influence a buying decision, e.g. machines going out of production, problems with the machines etc.
From what I can garner on the internet they seem to be ok machines but thought it worth checking. I had been looking at the 16XMK2 and the 18Q. I note that in Axminster these are out of stock
Cheers and thanks
Pat

i believe they are simply trying to get rid of the old jet branding stock as they are to be branded as powermatic (which is what the jet brand is known as in the U.S) all over the world and not just in the U.S.

take advantage of the cheap prices as you should be able to get parts for it no problem and they are good machines...

As Steve says, they are being rebranded. The spare parts ill be the same as the new brand name as far as I can tell so definitely a bargain worth grabbing.

Thanks a million to everyone for the quick replies.
They give me reassurance that theres nothing ulterior in the offers.
