WIP

Had an urgent request last night for a pair of celtic wedding goblets for a 5th anniversary. People always want these things yesterday. Managed to get them made this morning just need to get them engraved then finished off and lacquered. Left them on the tenon so I can clean them up afterwards. The pencil lines are to mark where to engrave the names and dates. They are the same size LOL.

...and to think that your client had five years' notice of this event!
Nice one Pete, I'm sure they'll be delighted.

I'm assuming it is the differing lengths of the remaining tenons that make them look different heights.

Shame you never posted a finished image, but you did say they were needed urgently so into the post ASP I'd guess.

Apologies. Here is a quick snapshot I sent to the clients prior to posting. I leave the tenons on until after I have had them pyro'd in case I need to do any final work. Sometimes the lacquring on the inside needs sanding back and redoing as just a boit of dust can make them feel a bit rpugh inside I can't lacquer them fully until the pyro work id finished for obvious reasons.

Certainly is an excellent piece of work, is the pyro lettering done by your other half Pete ?   --   Julian

Thank you Julian. She doesn't like doing lettering if she can avoid it so it is done by a friend of ours who specialises in pyrography called wood tattoos. You can see his work here

Thanks Pete, wasn't he at Yandles a week or so ago ? If it was the same person; I was talking to him for a while, he had some really good work on show and was willing to let you have a go at producing some of his designs. Julian
