Never made them before!
« on: July 11, 2017, 01:44:14 PM »
I was asked to make several of these the other day....anybody come across them before?

The original is the oak one, my copies are sycamore and beech, with a lignum one thrown in. They're 4.5" overall length, sanded, but to be left unfinished.

Priest's?
....at 4.5" that wouldn't knock out a minnow!

Skipping rope handles ?

....much too small....the centre section is only 3/8" (9mm) diameter, so it would have to be a doll's skipping-string.

Look a bit like the proggers I make but they have that 'bump' on the end which you don't normally get. Might be a variation perhaps?

They're a tool that are used for making things out of strips of fabric such as rag rugs. Some people call them proddedrs but I was corrected by a customer and told they should be called proggers.  The ones I make look like this but they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes as long as they are pointed at one end..

Definitely not that.....

They are prodders of a sort, though.....they have been ordered by a masseur who tells me that they are used for massaging between fingers and toes.

New one to me. Would imagine they are pretty heavy massage tools in the wrong hands LOL.

Personally, I think that they look just a little phalic, but nope!
