Nova galaxi lathe

Has anybody got any views or own one, a Nova galaxi dvr lathe?

Not sure what Lathe this is I have a Nova DVR XP
Great Lathe as long as you have no problem with electrics £450 00 for a repair if you do

I've seen these and the mechanical engineering on them is solid and good.
However the electronics might be a weak area. The blister covered control panel might be a concern in the long term, I've seen panels like this fail after a lot of use and dust ingress into that area could cause problems. If the motor or control system does fail replacement is expensive with no other options than repair from Nova whose track record of support in the UK seems patchy from what I've read.

I wouldn't spend £2.5k on that.

To be honest I would not buy another one I would go to Axminster

The answer I got was no ,and that is understandable it's something new the statement about the engineering on this lathe being second to none is in direct conflict with the electronics.
I think we have to look at companies that make sophisticated electronic items then allow
Second rate companies in other countries to make these items because. Of there national debit and the need to feed greedy investors.
Have a look on. U tube two slots one showing a brand new galaxi lathe with a smashed headstock internals and the other. Shows another galaxi with a tailstock with the barrel with a wrong thread in it so to wind out you to go to the left.
I would not touch a lathe like this for a hundred pounds no chance.
