WoodSwimmer
« on: June 17, 2017, 06:55:44 AM »
My son just posted this to my Facebook timeline....he knows that I'm a fussy so-ans-so about what I'll tolerate on Facebook, so I knew that it would be good for him to put it there.....and it is!

Enjoy...Les (and Huw)

That truly reveals the beauty of the wood hidden below the weatherworn exterior of the bark.

It only lasts 1 1/2 minutes. Must have a very short attention span LOL.

No, not really! Just value my time and I don't see more than a tenuous link to woodturning, which this forum is about.
I wasn't being sarcastic, simply my option and thoughts but I accept its a clever, skilled, technical piece of work.

The link to woodturning should be obvious, in that the video highlights the beuty that is hidden beneath the bark; it just takes people with a skill like ours to reveal that beauty, and I pity anyone who's time is so precious that they cannot take less than two minutes of it  to appreciate the beauty of the material that we work with.

The beauty found in nature never disappoints. This short clip is fantastic and only goes to reinforce the reason we work with such a wonderful medium as wood. And even the plainest of woods never fail to give that tactile feel which so many enjoy.
