Here ya go Georg. Mo has made a start on the hollow form. It's a silver maple that an american turner sent over for her to do.  Stands about 10m 1/2" tall. Going to take a while this one.

I'm glad you told us it was Silver maple, in outline form it looks like wacky baccy!

What is the Bird please, I'm guessing something American and I'm not so good on most of their birds.

Lastly, please post regularly, I'm looking forward to seeing this develop.

The bird is a silver eye, native to british columbia, the leaves are coral bark maple. The wood is silver maple. Wouldn't know a bout wacky baccy, never used it personally.

Next step. First coat on bird and leaves. It's a silver eye and coral bark maple.

It is finished but Mo wants the collaborator to see it before making it public. Personally I thnk kit's gorgeous but I'm a bit biased LOL.
