Anybody got any idea if sequoiadendron giganteum (giant sequoia) has any commercial value in the UK?

It's a little reading and it is wikipedia .. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sequoiadendron ...  in short as Dr4g put it ...   mainly for shingles and fence posts, or even for matchsticks  if you could get the lumber to the Mill.

I like turning it - no doubt there are others too so perhaps it could be sold as either slabs or bowl blanks etc?
