Weathered oak burr
« on: April 25, 2017, 06:07:00 PM »
I was lucky enough to get a good stock of weathered oak burr, cut as 6" x 6" beams and lintels, but much too good to let builders play with. So here's a few vessels for stock in the shop.

First is a 17cm tall dry-vase
Secondly, a 13.5 cm pot with a rolled rim. The open grain has been filled with copper gilding cream
Finally, a 16cm tall pot with a rim detail of incised lines.

C&C always welcome

Not so easy to get it to this quality though.

Classic Les shapes that show off the grain to perfection.

Bet they get some stroking once they are on display.
