Chair restoration,

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone on here might be able to help - i have a broken chair which was my Grandparents and i would like to have it repaired, i think the one joining section needs re-turning and sections re-glueing, i could just do a quick glue but i would like it to be used and no just an ornament - i know there is a vast knowledge and experience on here so hope someone might be able to help - i do expect to pay for the repair,

I think one of your better bets would be Steve Heeley. He's in Cannock, and does lots of spindle work. His website is here.

i've done chair spindles before and if you are ever travelling near J7 of the M4 then i'm happy to help.

Thanks for the replies - i was on the m4 last week - i will put some pictures up when its repaired, whats your thoughts on gorilla gluing it?

never used gorilla glue but i believe it is an expanding foam type so in my opinion would not be best for a repair like that.

let me see some pics and we'll take it from there.
