Fire at Andy's workshop!
« on: December 21, 2016, 06:25:56 PM »
I've just seen a notice on Facebook, of a crowd-funding request to help Andy to rebuild his workshop after a devastating fire. This must be devastating for Andy and I'm sure that there will be many of us who wish him every success in getting his workshop rebuilt.....not just wishing him success, but helping with the crowd funding as well.
Andy was one of the many sources of inspiration to me when I started turning, and one of the highlights of my early years was to visit him at Cobwebs....this is my opportunity to pay a little something back to help him on his way again.

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Just seen this on FB as well having just been burgled and losing a lot of stock from Olivers Woodturning, I understand how it feels to have something taken away without warning Good Luck Andy hope that you get back on track soon

APH

I was thin king that I had decent insurance, been paying business insurance since 1989 without a claim> Last Friday we had a break-in at the unit but it's seem because of a technically they might not be paying out for the stock held there for Olivers Woodturning. I'm finding that insurance companies don't mind taking your money but are not so hot when it come to having to pay out!!!

because of a technically....
It's absolutely crucial to study insurance policy small print. Make sure the cover meets your needs, you can comply with any requirements and you understand any exclusions. If you're unsure, get written confirmation.

Good insurance can cost a lot, but can save a business if disaster strikes.
