The last thing that I've finish a Lace Bobbin Winder.  Base is 9" x 5" x 5/8" .. wheel post at 4 1/4" x 2" x 5/8" ..  wheel 4" x 5/8" .. bobin supports 3 1/2" x 1 1/8" x 5/8" .. winder knob .. 1" x 3/4" ..  there is the removable finial to the wheel post which pushes the drive band locating pin back to renew the band, if broken,  the pin is in place in the last picture. 

The bobbins had been posted under, " Always a pair " .

It was a commision an other than a picture, it has been worked out, based on a Royal Mail rubber band, the usual free red ones ... and using the small stock of Oak which I had.

Thank you, John,  the design altered a few times, as fresh ideas and improvements evolved, this may have been mk4, lost count of the changes, but turned out nice.

It was very well received, even if it was my Sister, who can't wait to show it off at the next lace making class ... may have an earner here ..    .
