yew vase

Well, if she likes it, good for her. I have to say that although I don't see anything wrong with the craftsmanship, the result is not for me. Sorry, just personal taste.

I've no doubt the lady loves it. It reminds me of some pottery from history, possibly Etruscan.

But if I may, and I'm not sure which photo you've stretched or compressed, but the shape could be better. The neck has the wrong proportion to the body (rule of thirds would have made it look better). The lower curve of the vase shape is far too flat, it would have looked better to have a slow gentle curve from the shoulder to the foot. And the transition to the foot is to soft, it blurs, when you make a strong change like that it needs a defining point, a cut or straight area, think Fillet on a stair spindle or chair leg.
