I decided what to watch in the end
« on: August 11, 2015, 06:07:33 PM »
So I did eventually decide what to watch. My criteria in the end was to only see stuff that would be of benefit to me as a turner. So as I will never be able to afford an ornamental lathe the ornamental stuff was out as too was the bowl turning ( I can do that) In though was 3 sessions with Cynthia Gibson which IMHO were worth the seminar fees alone. I also went and watched Carlyn, Mark Hancock and Mark Sanger.
The couple of sessions I didn't attend were spent virtually alone in the instant gallery just soaking up the inspiration or shopping. I do think that I learnt something in each session that i attended so can't wait to start work on my multi layered aged and decorated, pyrographed piece on a twisted stem with lid and carved finial. ;D ;D ;D

You are demoing at the club Thursday so you can show us the John. may not be there though as I have been given a two page list of things to do.
Seriously, anyone who didn't come away from the weekend inspired needs therapy.
