Let's Teach Turning!
« on: April 26, 2015, 08:19:58 PM »

At the AWGB AGM today we officially launched "Let's Teach Turning", our interactive DVD course which can (but doesn't have to) lead to assessment for an "Approved Tutor" badge.

The software will soon be available for free download on the AWGB website, or you can purchase a hard copy in a case with insert for £16.

As soon as it's uploaded we'll let you know.

I know I biased...but it's fantastic!

2 years of work has gone in the production of this professionally produced software course, and we hope it will prove useful and popular.

Dave Atkinson and Peter Bradwick have done an incredible job on it.

It's on the website as of now for either free download or purchase if you want the DVD. The content of both is the same.

Enjoy!

Blimey, Paul! You don't hang around! Many thanks.

George...the course was written by our development team, both professional course developers, both woodturners, and delivered using a "guinea pig" student. It was filmed by a professional camera man, the software was professionally narrated, and the system built by a reputable specialist company.

I second the question about a 'Mac' download ?
Regards
Graham
I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

Unfortunately the DVD doesn't work on a Mac, I'm aware of some people using an "emulator" to allow software designed for windows to work on a Mac but I'm unsure if this will work as I have never tried it myself and I'm also unsure how "safe" they are to use but I do know people use them successfully.
Hope this helps
