Hi Di & Tony,
Once again some more of your beautiful turnings I tried to pick out a favourite but I like them all.No wonder I can't find any pewter in the charity shops you have been there first ::) ;D

Lovely clean shapes letting the wood do all the shouting. The pewter gives a nice simple contrast.

I have a contact in a charity shop who saves all the pewter that comes in as they don't sell it through the shop. Happy to sell some on if you want / need some

Thank You Pete for commenting and the very kind offer.......... we are fairly ok for pewter as Tony is not doing a great
deal of Turning at the moment , busy sorting out wood.......... sure the hobby has gone from wood turner to collector of wood.
we also need to do a lot of work on the very neglected garden ........... however it is a offer we may take you up on in
   the near future ...........

I've got to say it's the Maple, 1st pic .. No the Horse Chestnut .. Nope the Hornbeam .. It's the Apple .. yep for me .. then oh .. the Maple ..  ;) ..  Again that's a more than stunning piece of Horse Chestnut .. Ah which of them all ..  :( ..

They all offer so much in form, each has an excellency and shows the wood off so well..  2nd pic Horse Chestnut .. Got to be the Apple ..  :-\  ..

Cheers David

It is a beautiful combination of wood and pewter. Each sets the other off nicely and I am very grateful that I don't have to make a choice about which is nicest  :)

Graham
I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?
