Pro edge Sharpening System
« on: November 07, 2014, 06:33:56 PM »
As I can not afford the R/S pro edge sharpening system I purchased a cheap grinder/belt sander from Aldi I remember a few years ago someone doing an article over 2 issues of the Revolutions Magazine how to convert the Aldi one to something like the Pro Edge Unfortunately I passed about 300 Woodturner and Revolutions magazines on to another woodturner so I cannot look this up.

Any help would be appreciated. Regards John

I'm sure if you put pictures of both up we can all work together to figure it out. :)

John,

I think we discussed this very thing a while back.

If I remember correctly, the motor needs to have it's connections reversed so that the belt runs in the opposite direction to the one it normally does.

Try a search on the forum and see if you can find it - or can anyone remember it and provide a link?
