hope mine does too. i've bough the cyclone which arrived today but i'm still undecided if i should buy the technologiss or not, i'd not heard of the company before i found that unit on ebay and was only attracted to it because it gives the airflow at 3900m3 per hour rather than the strongest axminster of the same hp at 3000.

I have the dust mite hooked up to a camvac with 63mm tubing. It works very well indeed.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

why 63mm?

it yours the big one or the small one?

the one i just bought has a 6" top pipe and a 5" inlet port.

i'm just buying the pipes for it now as i can't wait to hook it up

what do you use to drop the shavings in graham?

i'm going to use a wheelie bin...

I didn't realise they came in two sizes. Mine is only about 13 inches tall and the fittings are about 50mm. I have to pack them out to fit my 63mm Camvac setup. ( I did wonder why yours was black and mine is white :) )
As I said, mine works well but a larger version mounted on a wheelie bin sounds like a really good idea.

i wasn't sure that the smaller versions would have been up to the task for what i had in mind but i probably could have got away with the smaller one.

the bigger one is 28" tall.

Mine works, as I keep on saying, but I cannot help thinking that a bigger version has got to work better. More separation and a much larger vortex.

well i took the plunge and bought the cyclone (don't think i need a new extractor though) and it works great. sat in top of a wheelie bin it shoots up the pipes and gets chucked out the bottom.

the best £150 i ever spent...

i spent about £50 extra on the plumbing required as i needed reducers and 6" pipe but once i had all that it was set up and it filled the bin in minutes

Well done. Can you put the wheelie bin out for collection with the rest ?

well i've had the cyclone for a while now and really can't complain. my extractor is only 2hp but it does the job really well and recommend this item to anyone who needs it for chip or dust extraction.

i change bins only to keep the chips and dust seperate, works on the ripsaw a treat...
