This one is a bit different.

As the title says this one is a bit different (for me anyway).
Following the arts week that I was involved in (does that make me an artist now?) I have been asked to consider doing an art project with a local school. So I have to come up with sensible and practical ideas that will allow the kids to make something in collaboration with me. My bit would be the turning.

So my first idea is a friendship arch, each kid has an MDF (?) brick to decorate, I turn a simple design on the face and all the bricks are stuck on the wall (on a backing board) to make an arch. This then becomes the friendship arch where they arrange to meet friends etc. when in school.

Another idea was a thoughts rainbow. Groups of kids write their thoughts about (something) on a "bubble" which is painted MDF or suchlike and all the bubbles are stuck on a board with a rainbow on it. (they are primary school age)

So if you have any good ideas for similar projects please let me know.
Many thanks.
