A light bulb moment
« on: November 06, 2013, 06:41:41 PM »
Just for once I had a good idea that actually worked!! :o
Having a need to mix a very, very small amount of a 2 part resin I looked around for a suitably small container to mix it in. Did I mention that I only wanted a very small amount? So I mixed it in the bubble pack from head ache tablets. Just the right size and no wastage, a real b****r getting the right ratios though so I used a small darning needle(remember them?) to drip the activator in.
Cheers

What's that old phrase about necessity being the mother of invention? Be an interesting thread to see what odd and unusual things we use around the workshop.

Fedup with sealer congealing around the top of the can? Most of us decant it into a bottle, I put mine into a small airtighht container, a food container from the £1 shop will do, although mine says Playdoh on the top as we have just sorted my Grandsons toys out and it was headed for the bin.

For the really small amounts of glue use the top from a milk container and apply it with a cocktail stick.
