Well Woody, without going to a book or reference on form based on precepts as to what a.n.other considers a form should be like .. it is what you, yourself wishes to call said form .. a pot is fine and it's a very fine one indeed with form and finish .. a round base interior would have looked nice, as well as maybe thinner overall, but then you know as to what it took to make the form.

Well done, so nice to see your work.

Woody,

it looks much bigger than the stated 3" x 4". The crisp detail of the stem and even thickness of the natural edge topped by the finish show that you've put thought and love into this piece.

Very, very nice.

Hi woody...I really like this, especially for the fact that it uses the heart and sapwood, which adds enormously to the appeal of the piece. All of my blackwood is heartwood, so I hadn't even realised that there was such a contrast.....I guess that you must buy it in the log!

Thanks....Les

Thanks woody....I'm picking my new lathe up in a week or so; can't wait to get started again. I'll try the contact that you gave me and see what he's got.
