Paul,

I've always loved the white growth layer of wood against the beautiful nut brown heartwood of Walnut. Well done for keeping the two together in this piece.

The sparp corners instead of a rounded lip carry it forward as well.

Well done.

hello Paul,
a very nice piece indeed, I have one criticism to make, you have not signed the bottom!
We should all sign our work as in years to come how will they tell who made what when it comes up on the antiques road show. Also if you are proud of your work, which you should be in this case, let others know that you made it.
Regards

That's a real beauty Paul, simple line, great form and finish to match, doesn't get much better.

Paul, you've done a really good job there, can't fault it, you followed the instructions well and the results speak for itself, stunning finish. Be very pleased and do sign, date and type of timber .. takes the guess work out, plus you'll be able to look back on it at a later date.

Cheers   David

Very nicely done Paul, can't beat hands-on instructions.

Perhaps it would be nice to give the instructor a mention.
