Honduran Rosewood Burl

This teapot is made from Honduran Rosewood Burl, extremely heavy, and pretty hard, but requires next to no finish, mainly a good buff.
The handle and spout are made from African Blackwood. I dyed the handle and feathered it into the lid.
Comments welcome,
Michael

That is beautiful and what you have done with the wood is really lovely. I'm not a tea pot fan but have to admit this one converts me totally.

David, Rosewood burl even after sanding and buffing is very waxy making it almost impossible to burn in Cynthias style.

What a beautiful piece, not just the wood burl but the turning and fabrication too. Excellent job. Malcolm.
