I also posted this image to the gallery (and then deleted it) - so I'm not having a problem.

Mod's, have you been doing anything with the system?

There are two ways to load an image -

1. Linking an image from another website (for those that use the online photo album sites etc.) :-
Click the "Insert Image" icon
Paste the image URL between the "img - /img" tags so it ends up looking like
Code: [Select]

Here I have linked an image from the AWGB website using this method.

2. Uploading an image to the forum :-
Click the "+ Additional options" below the text box.
Click the "Browse" button
Select your image (which must be less than 200 kb in size)
The badge image was uploaded using this method.

Didn't Clavico have a problem up load with his first post of Love Rings, much the same as this.

Myself with a post 'Mounts' was the pictures didn't come up via Flickr ... some issue with them .. not got in to try again since ...

Hi Eric...I don't pretend to understand the dark arts of IT; it's all another world to me! In case it's a probl;em specific to your IT set-up communicating with the forum IT set-up, I was just wondering whether or not one of us could help by posting the picture for you. I'd be happy to try it if you post the pic to me on my email account.... lessymonds2@aol.com . Might be worth a try!
Regards...Les

The above worked fine. I've checked the system and all is well. So...it must be something you are doing.

Your image needs to have one of the accepted suffixes... .jpeg Etc., and be under 2mb (2000kb) in size. There's a turorial in the Gallery forum.

I have file upload code on my web sites. The core of the code is probably very similar to the code on this forum and all the documentation relating to the core code says the file size limit is 2Mb.

I inserted a trap to prevent the upload of files larger than 2Mb from being attempted but I sometimes found that files that were under 2Mb failed to upload.

I could not find the cause so changed the trap limit to 200kB and never had any more problems although I might increase the limit a bit as a 640px wide photo can be anything between 150kB and 250kB. I do not see any point in uploading bigger photos than that.
